Experience Ford Amphitheater: Godsmack, Nothing More and Flat black
Colorado Springs, Colo. — Oct. 17, 2024— An enormous roaring crowd and fire pits. Blinding lights. Merch tables and food and drink venues. Energetic, hair-raising music blaring across the Ford Amphitheater.
Words cannot adequately describe the adrenaline-inducing and euphoric state I experienced watching Flat Black, Nothing More and Godsmack. Ford Amphitheater was the quintessential location for this paramount event.
I bought tickets to this show before my exploration into the music industry and attended the concert after talking to the primary characters of the Colorado Springs music scene. Many of the individuals I interviewed were involved, in some capacity, in bringing the event to life.
Emily Nixx hosted the 94.3 Kilo meet-and-greet event for Nothing More. Standing with her in line, I watched as she led her winners throughout the process. Kilo also hosted a pre-party for this event; however, it was led by another Kilo host.
Additionally, Cumulus Media's Magic FM also hosted an official pre-party.
While interviewing Bryan Ostrow weeks before the concert, event posters were hanging from the window at What’s Left Records for any passersby to view.
Of course, the event occurred at Ford Amphitheater, and I saw how AEG and VENU partnered to create the space.
Boot Barn Hall and Bourbon Brothers Smokehouse and Tavern, owned by VENU, offered a drink special: ticket holders could present their tickets at these two locations and receive a free post-show drink. Remember how Rosanna Taylor uses this same marketing and promotion tactic for The Black Sheep?

Hearing or reading about how these businesses promote and operate is one thing. Witnessing the final product is another; and I now understand what Chloe Hoeft from VENU meant when she said that VENU unites individuals through the power of music.
"It all turns surreal when fans are cheering and fire pits are on," Hoeft said. "This is what we created. This is why we're here. We're here to unify people together through the power of music."
This vast industry runs on passion and communication. It was an honor to meet these professionals and hear their stories. I am incredibly privileged to have witnessed and captured these unforgettable chronicles.
I want to thank every individual who took the time to share their story with me. I encourage anybody reading this to follow the guidance and advice offered by members of these establishments.
Remember: Passion is the most important trait to success. Opportunities will present themselves if you have passion, regardless of your goal.
